om sri sairam...
Today I attempted to do some thing big... My friend invited my family to her house warming function. so I wanted to gift her something unique... the result is what you see here.. Inspired this from the following blogger. http://nethingart.blogspot.com/2014/09/quilled-lord-ganesha.html
After posting some pics in the social media few of my fellow quillers asked for the tutorial... so here it is folks...enjoy and happy quilling.
This the actual image that I downloaded form the web. Enlarged it into 12*12 canvas size and traced it on the regular chart paper. Before Tracing I made some changes to the original picture Especially near the toes and near eye.
Entire project is made with 3mm strips(1/8 th inch strips)
apply glue on the border
stick the papers vertically and complete the outer border.
Then fill it up the with the behieve strips. Follow below pictures for the step by step process. If you have any doubts Message me or email me to sssundaramquillingcollection
Tip: one thing I want to share is that Start working in one direction or else it will be difficult do behieve technique. I worked from top to bottom direction.
Second is that Do border to one part at a time and fill it with behieve. so that you will have enough place to keep your hands and move around them.
It Took Three weeks for me to complete this Picture.
This is the Final Pic After getting framed.
Please kindly let me know if you have any questions.I will be happy to know if my art inspires you. So Do let me know your inputs. Thank you.
That's some really nice quilling SundaramCollections. Colors on the Ganesha play really well with the frame.
